Luís Gouveia holds a PhD in Sociology from the School of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon with a thesis entitled “Why do teachers mobilise? Collective representations and coordination of public actions by Basic and Secondary school teachers based on plural judgements about what is a good teaching professional in a context of uncertainty”.
He is an Integrated Researcher at CICS.NOVA – Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH) and Adjunct Professor at Egas Moniz – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior, CRL.
His main research interests focus on pragmatic sociology, sociology of engagements and grammars of commonality.
