On October 11, we celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with the 2nd POWER Conference, where central themes such as gender equality, the presence of women in the economy, female entrepreneurship and empowerment in the most diverse areas of society were discussed.
One of the most remarkable moments of the event was the presentation of the POWER-ISEG 2024 Award to the Bfore Breast Cancer team, made up of young female entrepreneurs from the 11th grade of the Pedro Nunes Secondary School. This team had already won the prestigious FedEx Access Award at Gen-E 2024 for its innovation in the early detection of breast cancer, standing out as an inspiring example of young leadership in the field of science and health.
This award reinforces the fundamental role of young women in the future of innovation, entrepreneurship and building a more equitable society.
Congratulations to the Bfore team on this well-deserved achievement!
